Obituary of Michael Bernard Slaunwhite

71 Halifax, passed away on October 5, 2017 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary. He was born on September 11, 1946 to the late Robert and Evelyn (Ryan) Slaunwhite of Terrence Bay. Sam was known for his love of music. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Helen Asprey; children, Lois (Jamie) Pelrine, Laurie (Jerome) Walsh, Linda (Larry) Chaulk, Todd (Tanya) Slaunwhite, and Michael Slaunwhite; stepchildren, Joy (Wilfred) Gerrior, Kathy (Ross) David, Darlene (Dave) Hounsell, Tari (Jeff), and Joseph Gabriel; sisters, Kathleen (Allan), Peggy (Richard), Hilda (Roy), Gloria, Paulette (Wayne); favorite nephew, Paul Keefe; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by stepdaughter, Debbi Wells; brother, Robert; sisters, Angel and Debra Anne. Special thank you to Paula MacKay for all her help in this trying time. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, where a Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, October 13 at 2pm in the funeral home chapel.  Donations in Sam’s memory can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
