Obituary of Deborah Davis

Age 63, Halifax passed away with her husband and children by her side July 7, 2017. She is a daughter of Noreen (Hanrahan) and the late John Newman. Debbie left a career with the bank when her children were born, though later returned when they were older and had finished school. She was a dedicated wife, mother and proud homemaker during her children’s youth and dedicated to their school and community. She was truly happiest when surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Darrell; daughter, Lisa; son, Edward (Michelle) and two beautiful grandchildren Lana and Samuel; brothers, David (Cathy), Richard (Evelyn), Kevin (Debbie) and Allen; sisters, Susan, Diane (Mike), Brenda (Frank), Trudy, many nieces, nephews and their children. While our hearts ache for our mom to physically be with us and walk with us through life we reach deep to draw some comfort knowing she is indeed with us in everything we do and will never stop watching over us. We love you mom and will forever cherish each and every memory, memories we will speak of everyday with your grandchildren. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. A Service of Remembrance and celebration of life will take place at Emmanuel Anglican Church, 322 Herring Cove Rd., on Thursday July 13 at 2:00pm, followed by a reception. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Debbie to the Canadian Cancer Society.
