Obituary of Marguerite Catherine Thomson

62, Halifax. It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret "Penny" Thomson announce her passing on August 12th, 2017 at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, surrounded by her heartbroken family. Penny was born on June 1, 1955 in Halifax, to Fred and Marge Smith. There was nothing Penny loved more than her family, family get togethers, vacations to Cancun, Mexico; she was happiest with her loved ones. She was a very caring and compassionate person; always put the needs of others before her own even if that meant she herself going without. Her family will miss her dearly. Penny is survived by her parents, Fred and Marge Smith; children, Kevin and Patty; two grandchildren; brothers, Adrian (Norma) Thomson, Eric (Bev) Thomson; sisters, Linda (Kenny) Mosher, Kathy Simpson; many nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, John Michael Thomson and John Knox. A celebration of Penny’s life will be held on Thursday, August 17th at 10:30 AM at Rock Church, Lower Sackville, Mike Miller officiating; with a reception to follow the service.
