Obituary of Donna Marie Baker

Age 78, Halifax, passed away with her husband by her side on October 8, 2017 at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Port Maitland, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Marion (Goudy) LeBlanc. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family whom she loved dearly and enjoyed baking and sharing the goods with family and friends. Donna touched countless lives, leaving behind many family members and close friends that loved her completely. She is survived by her husband, Frank; her children Carole, Dawn (Greg), David, Timmy (Dawn), Joan (David); 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and one on the way; 3 great great grandchildren; siblings, Sally (Fred), Beryl (Linda), Carol, Harriet (Malcolm), Freddie (Joan) and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own children. She was predeceased by sister, Gertrude; son-in-law Andrew and four nephews. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd, where visitation will be held Friday October 13 from 7-9p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday October 14 at 1p.m. from Emmanuel Anglican Church 322 Herring Cove Rd. Rev. Michelle Bull officiating. Reception to follow at the Spryfield Lions Rink. There will be a private family interment. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
