I met Ray through work visits to the regional office in Halifax. We talked about music but I never had the opportunity to hear him play. I remember Ray as a great guy, mainly in our communications through work and would have liked to have visited the music scene when he played. My sincere condolences to all his family. May he Rest In Peace.

I worked with Ray in the federal government for several years. Always a good guy who one could always count on when the need was there. My deepest condolences to all of Ray's extended family.

I worked with Ray at our Regional office for many years. My favourite memory of Ray is when he used to bring his keyboard in and play for us during our Christmas lunches. So long ago but feels like last week. Hugs to Krista and her family.

Thoughts and prayers. I meant Ray in 1967 when I had a house party on Young St in Halifax on the labour day week-end. Ray was a great guy and very talented and was the guy who kept the music going. I was only 13 at the time and got in some trouble when my parents got home at the end of the weekend, but the party was lendendary and Ray was a big part of why it was so good and his talent and great personallity back then was also enjoyed along with the other 150 people who had attended over the weekend. We moved a few months later and I never saw Ray again, but never forgot him. May he rest at peace.

To my father, Thank you for loving and accepting me without conditions; for embracing Tim, Kai and Rhys; and for always sharing your kind words and fond memories of Sadie. And, yes, I will remember her stuffing recipe. We will continue to share your love for music and old movies. Know that you were cared for, and will be remembered. May you rest in peace. Love, Krista —- Let it be When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree There will be an answer, let it be For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see There will be an answer, let it be Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be There will be an answer, let it be And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me Shinin' until tomorrow, let it be I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be And let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be - P. We will miss our “Grampy” very much. We are so happy he had the chance to visit us in Ottawa, and we also got to spend time with him in Halifax. I remember Grampy being supportive of me like the time he came to my school to see my comic book showing (Kai). I remember the time Grampy brought us his cool Korg keyboard and played the Star Wars theme for us. He even gave us his keyboard (Rhys). We will miss him very much!

I will always remember Ray as a kind and caring father-in-law who never missed an opportunity to call on a birthday or holiday to wish Krista, Kai, Rhys and me a great day. He had so many interesting insights on music, entertainment, and life. So glad he had the opportunity to visit us in Ottawa, and I’m thankful for the times we shared with him in Halifax! He will be missed!
