Talked to Alex on the phone not all that long ago and he told me he was not at all well. Sorry to hear of his passing. The last time I saw him in person was when he came down for my late husband's A. A. anniversary. Alex and I were close in age and he always treated me with respect and told me how good I was to my late husband Dick, his older brother.
Spoke with Alex on the telephone only a few weeks ago and he told me he was not well. He was always upbeat and glad to hear from me when we talked. May he rest in peace. Cousin Mary informed me of his passing. Sheila Chisholm.
What wonderful memories! The pictures were heartwarming.
My condolences to all the family members, especially Winnie and Roseann and Sandy. I am sure you will carry Alex in your heart forever.

Alex will be missed. Loved visiting Alex with Wendell he shared so many memories of my father Jack Swansburg . We talked about his father and my grandfather many times . Jacob brought him so much happiness like remembering when his son Sandy played hockey. Was very proud of the nurse that Roseanne became. Love ❤️ always Betsy, Wendell,Daniel and James

Alex was a true fighter after 12 years dealing with cancer. As he always said he was The Miracle Man!
As a father both his son Sandy and daughter Rosie went above and beyond caring for him.
May he rest in peace. Thinking of you all in your grieving process. Judy / Gramme Hartlin xoxoxo
