Rick, I just found out yesterday, that you had passed away. I left Spryfield in 2001, and we lost contact until, 2018, when we spoke on the phone. You, our friends and I had many fun weekends together. I never had the chance to meet Jesse, your son or your granddaughter. I can only imagine how happy you were. You were a good soul, Richard, save a cold one for me.

My condolences to Jesse & family. Rick will be remembered as a kind soul, always taking the time to say hi and pay attention to others. He was especially loving to the young children at school when greeting them and giving them a high five! He was so happy to see them and had a special touch with the young children, a tenderness towards them that won't be forgotten.

Jesse, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Above all else, Rick loved you and his granddaughter beyond words. I always had a soft spot for your dad - he was kind and loved children. I appreciated his craftsmanship talents and his problem-solving solutions when it came to fixing things around the school. The students loved Mr. Rick and noticed on the days he wasn't there to greet them in the morning. There were always tons of high-fives and smiles from the kids and Mr. Rick. With Love, Karen Fougere
