Gerry was a kind and gentle soul and a wonderful neighbour and friend. He knew me from the day I was born and I will always remember him as being happy and jovial. He and I shared a fondness for horses and I took him to Truro Raceway with me a few years ago. He stood at the rail the whole evening watching every one of them. He really enjoyed it. And while he never got to see SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE race, I made sure we went to Truro one Sunday when his son BEACH GLASS was qualifying. He loved harness racing. I will miss having him to turn to when something goes wrong with my snowblower. He was my snowblower repair consultant. I just hope I remember everything he taught me on how to fix it. I'll miss getting one of his light fruit cakes too for my birthday and at Christmas. But I have the recipe so I'll just have to give it a try one of these days. Gerry was a good man and a really nice person and I will miss him a lot. May you Rest In Peace Gerry. Bruce Lohnes
