Dear Barb & Family, I worked with Laird at the Rowe School of Business. He was such a lovely man, we had lots of chats when he came to my office. He was funny too. I recall I asked him what he was going to do when he retired. He told me about how he wanted to work on a science fiction book. He will be missed by all those who knew him. Sharing just one memory is difficult when you have known someone for a long, long time. Our favorites include great conversations over many dinners...Laird always ordered the calamari; his presence at many, many parties, celebrations and family events...he was a great dancer and even had a signature move; and, beautiful evenings telling and retelling fishing tales while watching the sun set at the cottage.
