My memory of Dion was being one of the older “cool” kids that I looked up to and admired. To learn of his passing is absolutely shattering. To Doris and Clem, Nan and Dale, I wish I could find the right words. There are none I think. We will always remember him and that hopefully will keep him with us.

I first met Dion when he worked for me as a Leading Seaman. He quickly became one of the most competent and relied upon Stokers in the department rising very fast through the ranks. We had many fun and exciting times in the Navy and he became a good friend. I will miss him and his humour, his wit and his dedication to his job as well as his family and friends. My sincere condolences to his family I hope there is some solace knowing how well he was respected and loved by everyone he came in contact with

I only worked with Dion for a few months but in that short time I was left with such a strong memory of a capable, kind, funny (very funny) guy who was such a positive impact to all those around him. I remember one evening where him and another colleague pulled out their teeth and mimed trying to eat twizzlers; silly but still funny. As a colleague he was nothing but convivial and as a person nothing but kind. I was so sad to hear of his passing and I send my condolences to his family and friends for their loss.

Clem and Doris, Cherry-Ann, Dale and extended family please accept my sincerest condolences. Dion was a good childhood friend of mine & I remember his sense of humor most of all. We both enjoyed riding dirt bikes & later motorcycles. One of my favorite memories from back then was both of us going trouting on his motorcycle. At that time, all the roads were just gravel & the dust was unbelievable. We both had long hair (so fashionable at the time) & when we got back home our hair was petrified straight back with dust. Talk about "helmet hair". Dion, you were loved by and will be missed by many people my friend.

Prays and taughts to my family.we walked what we called the woodpath from school back home in englee a good many days after school. Skating on the pond in the winter. Dion made a guitar strap for me with my dad's sawmill ingraved in it and I will forever cherish that .hugs and kisses
