I was very sad to hear that Gary, my long time friend had suddenly passes away. I met Gary at a gym over 25 years ago and maintained our friendship ever since. Being a hardcore trout fisherman myself , Gary was always a wealth of knowledge .He was very generous in giving me many of this flies, especially his purple, double May fly. This would work when nothing else would. Gary was a trouts worst nightmare as he could catch them when they didn't even know they were hungry.
Gary was also such a generous person .A few years back he gave me a chainsaw when I need one, but didn't have one and he also brought me out a large load of wood that he had gotten from work because he knew I could use it..
I visited Gary 2 days before he passed in the hospital. One of the last things I told him, was you better not check out because if you do I'm going to have to go and change my Will. I had given him my Toyota Tacoma if I passed before he did . We're gonna have a few words about this when I get up there and meet you, again Gary.
Final thought ; Like Gary, I am like very much a dog person. I think he would be the only person I would completely trust to look after one of my dogs.
My sincere condolences to Gary's family and friends.
