Hello, I remember Les from when I was a young boy. When he first came to Halifax he worked in an engineering firm with my father, Bill Allen. Les was here on his own and on weekends my father used to invite him to spend time at our cottage in Five Island Lake. We would pick him up in our little boat and bring him to our island cottage. He usually had his briefcase with him, my mother recalls, and a sandwich. My parents are still living in their own home in Clayton Park and have very fond memories of Les, back in the sixties. I am very saddened to hear of Les' passing. I worked for Les in the summer of 1972 as a student and then from 1973-77 after I had graduated. Although I have not had contact with him since I left NS, I think fondly of my experience working for him. My sincerest condolences to the family. Lloyd Henderson
