Obituary of Mary Hubley

Of Halifax, we are sad to announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother Mary Theresa Hubley at the age of 91 on March 16, 2021. Daughter of the late Annie and James Callaghan of Fort Augustus P.E.I.

Mom grew up on the family farm in P.E.I. with her brothers and sisters. Mom worked at the Camphill Hospital for 35 years where she made many life long friends. She was always up for a shopping trip, reading her rag mags and enjoying the many cats and dogs she had over the years. She and Dad shared a great love for animals which passed down to us children.

She is survived by her children, Roger, Sandra (Michael), Mary (Kenneth), Janet (Carmen), Allan, Paul and Dianne (Thom); brother, Joseph; sisters, Shirley, Donna and Colleen; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years John Hubley; brothers, Maurice, Edwin, Francis and Vincent in infancy and sister, Ernestine.

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. and a private family service will be held.

The family would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all the staff at Arbourstone Enhanced Care for the kindness and care they gave our mother.
