I want to express my sincere sympathy to Karen and all of Janette’s family on her recent passing. I met Janette when I first started working at Public Works Canada in 1985. Although her office was on different floor at Maritime Centre, our paths crossed frequently, eventually leading to a closer relationship over the years before her retirement. Though Janette was skilled at her job, what stood out to me immediately were her quick laugh, ever-so-neat hairdo and her sparkling eyes! As the years passed, the Janette that I came to know was a woman of much empathy. She spoke through her eyes: happiness showed in her tears; pain showed in her tears; compassion showed in her tears, pride in her daughter and grandchildren showed in her tears. So, when I think of Janette, I will ever remember her face and those expressive eyes. May you all find similar memories as you go forward without her. God Bless you all. Muriel (Fullerton) Hale

Dear Karen, Graham and I were saddened to read the news of Janette's passing. Janette and I go way back....we worked at Fisheries together and then years later when I returned to work, we discovered that we were together again, this time with Public Works. Then we both joined the Tattoo Choir. We had so many fun times there.....I can hear Janette giggling now! Janette is also Graham's cousin..2nd or 3rd. Rest in peace Janette, I will never forget our happy times together. ❤

KAREN AND FAMILY, our condolences on Janette's passing. We, too, had our Tattoo Choir memories and also because we were 'across the street' neighbours for many years in Cowie Hill. Janette was always ready to share a laugh or two, which we did, often. Karen, may God bless you and your family and Janette, Rest in Peace, until we meet again. Keep on singing in the heavenly choir.

Our sincerest condolences to all who love and now mourn Janette. Steve worked with Janette at Public Works and we both sang with her in the NS Tattoo Choir. She was always such a positive, uplifting force. Whenever we'd run into her outside of work or Tattoo, it was like old home week - she always wanted to be caught up on how things were in our lives. May she rest in peace and rise in Glory!

I wish to convey my great sadness and sincere sympathy to Karen and to all Janette's family. Janette and I stood side by side during the first year I sang in the Nova Scotia International Tattoo. It was 1987 and I was terrified standing in the front row center of the Metro Centre. Janette was so kind and helped me over come my fear. We had great chats during the times we were not on stage .I looked forward to seeing her each year when Tattoo time rolled around. Janette was a very fine person and will be sadly missed.

I traveled with Jeanette back and forth to the Tattoo practices and performances for many years along with Sheila, Pat, Liz, Ethel May and Ann. We all traveled together in Sheila's van. We had many laughs and shared many meals together. I will always fondly remember our times together. We had such fun.
My thoughts are with you as you face these difficult days a head. Sending you all my Sincerest Condolences.

My sincere sympathy to all of Janette family and friends. I first met Janette when I joined the NS Tatto back in 1990, she was such a sweetheart and introduced herself to me and we became friends and would always ask each other, 'same time next year?', no matter how exhausted we were after the show was over. I missed seeing her this past year and it didn't seem the same when she wasn't able to join our special family. I know she will be sadlt missed not only by her family, but by the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo family and the friend she made over they years she sang with us. Heaven has a new alto to join the other members of the tattoo choir memebers who have gone before her.
