Obituary of Jake Alexander Boutilier
Jake Alexander Boutilier
June 26, 1987 – February 1, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Jake at the age of 37 devastated are his parents Rusty & Anne Boutilier, and his only brother Jason of Seabright. Also survived by his Paternal Grandmother, Gloria Boutilier of Hackett’s Cove; maternal Grandfather, William Bradshaw (Nanny Linda) of Nepean, ON. Left to grieve, Aunts, Beth (Robert), Debra (Ken), Cheri (Jeff), and Susan; Uncles, Dennis (Yvonne), Wil (Karla), Douglas, Lester (Meloney), Scott, and Dean (Wendy). Many cousins in NS, ON, AB & BC.
He was predeceased by his maternal Grandmother, Gail Beaver; paternal Grandfather, Lester Boutilier.
Born in Halifax, and raised in Seabright, Jake attended and graduated from Sir John A High School. After which, he attended NSCC completing a course in Motorcycle & Sm. Engine repair. Struggling to find the right career path he held many jobs in his short tenure, the one he seemed the most passionate about were his years spent working at Canadian Tire in both Halifax & Tantallon. He had recently started a new job and was looking forward to this new chapter in his life.
If you knew Jake, then you knew fondly of his huge heart and passion to give all that he had (even sometimes when that was nothing at all). He loved his brother Jason deeply and they shared a bond only brothers can understand.
I don’t understand the last choice in life you chose but as your mother please remember always, that I loved you with my whole heart. Mental illness is real please don’t find out the hard way speak up, ask the hard questions and please don’t let someone suffer alone.
Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in St. Peter’s Church, Hackett’s Cove on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11 am with a reception to follow in the church hall. Rev. Margie Fagan officiant.
