Obituary of Inez Irene Little
LITTLE, Inez Irene (Peggy)
It is with heavy hearts we announce Mom’s passing at the age of 93 on March 21st, 2025 at Arborstone Enhanced Care, Halifax. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond Little; her parents, Ralph and Aneatha Slaunwhite; sisters, Ruby MacIsaac and Thelma Hartlen; and brothers, James Reginald, Gerald, and Wallace Slaunwhite.
She is survived by her sons, Brad Little (Sherry) and Robert Fougere (Wendy); granddaughter, Courtney Little (Blake); grandson, Aaron Wiebe; great-grandchildren, Bishop (Courtney), Logan, and Lucas (Aaron); and several nieces and nephews.
In her early years, Mom worked at Beaver Foods. She enjoyed going to Stewiacke “to the camp” on the weekends to spend time with friends and singing along with the tunes while Ray and the others played their instruments. There were many cassette tapes made over their time together. And of course, we can’t forget about bingo with Shirley. Harris and Ray would take turns taking them to bingo and picking them up. When Courtney was born, she was able to help with her care as a newborn and into her pre-school years. She loved her time with her. Prior to going to Arborstone, Mom lived in an apartment in Prospect Village. She made many close friends there and they watched out for her for us. She enjoyed their friendships.
While at Arborstone Mom enjoyed visits from us and from friends when they could drop by. We always brought treats which she loved. Thank you to the staff at Arborstone for their kindness, love, and care for Mom over the past few years. She loved you all and you got to know her very well along the way. Thank you to her prior and current roommate for being there for us and for her.
Cremation has taken place under the care of J Albert Walker Funeral Home at 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
She is now with her family and guardian angels. Rest in peace, Mom.
