Obituary of Ronald William Kenneth Richards
In Loving Memory of Ronald William Kenneth Richards
1975– 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronnie who died peacefully on April 3, 2025 at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born and raised in the close-knit fishing village of Terence Bay, Ronnie was known for his sharp mind, quick wit, and incredible skill as a mechanic. He could take apart and rebuild just about anything with an engine, often without needing a manual. His hands were always working—greasy from engines, calloused from life, but always willing to help a friend or family member in need.
Ron lived a life marked by struggle, but also by love. He faced many demons and often lost his way, but through it all, his love for his mother, Sherry; sister , Darlene and his family never wavered. Despite the chaos, he always kept his connections with his Nan, Marjorie and others closest to him. Those who truly knew him will remember not just his hard times, but the his humour, loyalty, and the brief but beautiful moments when his true self shone through. Ronnie would do anything for those he loved.
He leaves behind his fiancee, Daisy, and a family who loved him deeply and hoped always for his healing and peace. Though his journey was not an easy one, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at rest.
Ronnie will be remembered not by the struggles he endured but always by the big heart he had, his love for his mom and Nan, sister and aunts and uncles, and of course, his fiancée , Daisy; those hands that could fix anything, and the bond he shared with the family who never gave up on him.
A private family service will be held at a later date to celebrate Ronnie.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Dartmouth General Hospital ICU for all of their compassion , care and kindness. It meant everything to us. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local homeless shelter or pay it forward with love and kindness to those in need. ❤️
