Obituary of Audrey Aileen Sullivan

87, Halifax.  With heavy hearts, we the family of Audrey Aileen (Jollimore) Sullivan, announce our dear mom’s passing on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, with her loving family at her side.  Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Fraser) Jollimore.  Audrey spent her life being dedicated to her family, raising her children.  She loved her family dearly and will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her.  Audrey loved fishing, playing cards, having all the parties, at her home, as she loved dancing, music, and having family and friends around her when she could.

Audrey is survived by her loving children, Johnny (Debbie) Sullivan, Richard (Bonnie) Sullivan, Jamie Sullivan, Margie Stone (Allan), Patricia Chambers (Brian), Kathy Sullivan (Jamie Hayden), and Shelly Leslie (Earl), her sisters, Ruthy (Dave) McLean and Marilyn Painting, her brothers, David Jollimore (Susan) and Nelson Jollimore, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her brother-in-law, George.

She was predeceased by her husband, James Sullivan, her parents, a son, David, and an infant son, Patrick.  She was also predeceased by her sisters, Delores, Thelma and Jeanette, her brothers, Vincent, Arnold and Artie, sisters-in-law, Helen and Marie, and brothers-in-law, Alex, Herbie, and Sonny.

Cremation has taken place and a service in memory of Audrey will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 2 PM from the funeral home chapel.  A reception will follow at Audrey’s home, 5 Fairview Avenue (Kline Heights).  A burial will take place at a later date at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  In honour of Audrey, please make donations to a charity that will help a child in need.
