Betty and our Mom, Lillian Roseveare, where longtime friends from school or Chebucto Road as Mom would say. They always kept in touch and had the strong connection of St. James Church. Betty sang at my wedding, at St. James church. I remember it was Ava Maria. She had a beautiful voice and it meant so much to Mom for her to be a soloist at our wedding. Mom had four daughters and Betty would always greet us with "Hello girls" and a smile.
Here are some pictures we have of the two of them. They always had to chat and catch up whenever they could. How lucky they were to be friends for so long!
