Anne and Romeo Robitaille posted a condolence
Monday, July 28, 2025
Hans has been a part of our family for many many years. We met Hans first through his only daughter Adrienne who attended high school in Don Mills Toronto with our son Scott. After a time Hans, Louise and Adrienne all went back to Halifax so we lost track of them for several years. Adrienne and Scott met up again in their 20's and lucky for us they became part of our family once again, which was meant to be.
Hans had a great memory and would regale us with many stories of his young life in Germany and also his stories of his time in Chicago with his Mother. We had many a great laugh with Hans over the last 14 years and we visited them in Halifax, and they would visit us in Toronto.
He loved Adrienne and Louise dearly and his darling Granddaughters, Maude and Zoe who knew him as "Opa". We shall keep his memory alive with them. We shall always remember those bear hugs Hans would give us, and those will be sadly missed.
Hans always favoured black crows, so in future when we see one we shall think of Hans.
Our condolences, French, and Anne Robitaille.
