Dear Antigonish family,
We are so sorry to hear about auntie Betty’s passing. She was a wonderful woman and I know my Grammy Georgina loved her very much. My heart goes out to you all Joanna, Kathy, and the whole crew. What a blessing to have had such wonderful and kind women in our lives, and as role models. I will never forget aunt Betty.
Love, Taormina and Jessi, Katrina and Ashley, and Andy (dad) Lepore

So sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother. I live in the Big Marsh where all the John George family were born.
I marvelled when all the girls, grandchildren would be around the Big Marsh for a tour in the summertime.
I would be driving to my house &there Betty&all her beautiful daughters & often her son, grandchildren would be around the
old homestead.
love,prayers sustain you all. Varis,Aileen(MacGillivray)Rieksts,Big Marsh,Ant.Co.

Joanne and Family. Sorry to learn about the loss of your Mom. It seems like yesterday dropping by unannounced only to spend hours chatting in the kitchen with your family. Treasured memories for sure. Your Mom was one of a kind. She will be missed by many. Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time

Kathy and The Grant Family:
My most sincere condolences to you on the loss of your dear mother, Betty. Her obituary says it all - beautiful! I remember her visiting Uncle John & Aunt Gertie's in Doctors Brook. She was always smiling and very gracious.
May your memories be a source of comfort to you at this time. Her picture is stunning..
God rest her beautiful soul!

Dear Family - I was so sorry to read about your mom's passing. Losing a mom is something we never get over. Your mom was always so kind and a wonderful neighbor. Mom and dad always looked forward to a Christmas fruit cake as your mom would bake it and bring it over to them - a gift of care and love. And then her biscuits and short bread cookies were the best. She would make a batch for my daughter Sarah as your mom knew how much she liked them - Sarah still mentions that. I have wonderful childhood memories with the Grant family. Yesterday I hung out a line of clothes and I smiled and thought about your mom as there would be a line of clothes put out throughout every season. She worked so hard. She loved her family dearly.

I can see Mrs. Grant now hanging out her cloths on the line, always had a sweet smile. Loosing a mom is so difficult they are the strength and truly the backbone of family and hold everything together. Helen Steiner said it best. A mothers love is something no one can explain, it is made with deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain. It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may. For nothing can destroy it or take the love away. That was Mrs. Grants love for her family. You will be in my prayers.. Elaine Yeadon-Haines

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your dear mother/grandmother. I remember her from going to Emile’s and my son Travis’ sporting events in school. I could tell how proud she was with her cheering and smiling. I would also often see her out in her beautiful yard tending to her flowers. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as I know how much she meant to you all.

Betty became my church friend many years ago. We usually sat in the back seat together and had some good chinwags (before Mass started, of course). She was full of life and what I remember so well was her saying "age is only a number." God rest her beautiful soul.
