Obituary of Russell Phillip Westhaver
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Russell Phillip Westhaver announces his passing on May 10, 2025, at Shoreham Village at the age of 81.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Russell was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen (Baker); daughter, Tina (Tyrone) of Massachusetts; daughter, Rose (Hilton) of Ontario; cherished grandchildren, Mindy, Megan, Tyler Jones, and Ashley Westhaver; and great-granddaughter Kristjana. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Susan Westhaver and his brothers, Carmen and Clayton (Mike).
Russell lived in Fox Point, Nova Scotia, his entire life. He had a long and successful career in trucking and was able to visit all the Canadian Provinces and forty-nine of the fifty US States. He shared a passion for country music and British comedy with his wife. He enjoyed participating in local card games and playing cribbage. He was happiest when surrounded by his family.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Russell’s family is planning a celebration of Russell's life in July 2025.
