Obituary of Jean Arsenault
In Loving Memory of Jean Ann Arsenault (nee Hemeon)
July 24, 1959 – May 21, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Ann Arsenault, who left us on May 21, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose strength, love, and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born in Eastern Passage, NS, Jean loved many things in life. In her younger years she was part of Majorettes, and as an adult, an avid dart player. Later in life she enjoyed walks at Shubie Park to feed the squirrels, and watching her grand children grow into amazing young adults. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, wisdom, and quick wit, which she shared so generously with her family and friends.
She is survived by spouse, Gerald Power, sons, Tony (Jocelyn) and Scott (Jacey), daughter, Melanie, her brother, Clarence, her sisters, Janice and Doreen, grandchildren, Peyton, Bailey. Wyatt, Sheldon, Ryan, Julian and Adora and great-grandchildren, Paisley, Skylie, Zaiden, Sofia and Mason, who will carry her love and legacy forward. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her honor.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit remains in the love she gave and the lives she touched. Rest in peace, Jean. You will always be in our hearts.
