In Loving Memory of David Archie Mills

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Archie Mills, originally from New Waterford, Nova Scotia. He left us peacefully, on May 22, 2025, at Victoria General Hospital in Halifax at the Age of 90.

David is survived by his three children, Elizabeth, Frank, Tim, and stepson Arthur. He will also be dearly remembered by his brother, Alex Mills, of Lingan, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his children Robert, Valerie, and Iris Jean, as well as his parents, Robert and Margaret (Canning), and twelve siblings.

David’s life journey took him to Hamilton, Ontario, where he worked in the automotive industry. At the age of 55, he embraced retirement and returned to his roots in Cape Breton, settling in Piper’s Cove. Later in life, Halifax became his home, where he lived with his daughter.

Known for his love of the outdoors, David was an avid hunter and angler.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Halifax Infirmary and the Victoria General Hospital for their compassionate care. A special thanks is reserved for the exceptional Northwood Home Care Staff.

David will be laid to rest at Union Grove Cemetery in New Waterford, where he will join his three children.
