Obituary of Paul Douglas Goodie

GOODIE, Paul Douglas Age 67 of Halifax

It is with great sadness that the family of Paul Douglas Goodie announces his sudden passing on June 30, 2025. Born on April 28, 1958, in Halifax, Paul was the son of the late Shirley Goodie (née Connors).

Paul, a dedicated and diligent worker, started his career early as a driver for Casino Taxis. A passionate fan, he found joy and excitement in wrestling and cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Above all, Paul was known for his deep devotion to his family, a quality that touched everyone who knew him.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Dale Goodie; son, Paul Goodie Jr.; sister, Debra (Gary W) Josey; and grandchildren, Dominic Goodie, Sarina Forde, Ryder Wyatt, and Ryan Walsh.

He was predeceased by his son, Tony Goodie; and his mother, Shirley Goodie.

Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax. In keeping with Paul’s wishes, there will be an open house Celebration of Life at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
