Dear Hasler Family,
As the last of her immediate family, Aunt Lorraine's passing marks the end of an era.
She was a true **mlgignewinu**(Mi'kmaq for strong woman) one memory that stands out for me (Maribeth)is the time she called me out for smoking as a young teen. At the time, I may have been embarrassed, but later looking back, realized she was looking out for my best interest. Her courage to speak up and tell me the truth set a fine exampe for me, teaching me the importance of honesty and looking out for others.
Many other pleasant memories of our families gathering together come to mind including summer picnics at Crystal Cresent overnight stays on Devon Cresant, the Farm in Pugwash (Paula) and gettting together at Nannny and Grampys in Jolimore. We also spent many happy hours swimming at Grand Stand -Williams Lake, Kidston Lake and The Brook. It's remarkable that many of our happy memories include swimming - a simple pleasure that brought us all together. Aunt Lorraines memory is wrapped up in all these activities.
With love and deep respect for your loss.
Paula & Maribeth (Ed too sends his love
