O’Sullivan Marjorie Lorraine: 70, Halifax, NS. With heavy hearts we, the family of Marjorie “Marge” “Grannie” Lorraine (Gray) O’Sullivan, announce her passing on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the QEII, VG Site, Halifax, NS, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Halifax, Marjorie was a daughter of the late Gerald and Bernice (Jollimore) Gray. Marge was a classy, put together lady, to whom family meant everything. She loved her family deeply and unconditionally, was always supportive, and was always there for anyone. She was a true example of a wonderful mother. Grannie had a heart of gold, and will be forever remembered by those who loved and knew her for her infectious laugh, her vibrancy, and her love of life. She had a magnetic, energetic, yet calm personality, and was, at times, the life of the party. Marge’s happy place was at the old Plantation Campground with Rick, where she made and had great relationships. Nan loved life to the fullest, she loved her iPad, her bright lipstick, makeup and clothes, and especially loved ordering on Temu. Temu’s bottom line has now decreased and the UPS drivers are looking for work since her deliveries have now slowed down.
She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Rick O’Sullivan, her treasured son, Dwayne (Roch), and her step-children, Kevin (Betsy) and Kelly (Kevin “Burger). Affectionately known as Nan, she will be missed by her grandchildren, Shelby, Dashawn, Josie, Macy, Regan, Rory, Carter, Kai and Kade. She is survived by her brothers, John, Kevin (Jean), and Raymond (Pam), her sisters, Judy Gray and Cathy Gage, a sister-in-law, Linda, an aunt, Florence Harrison, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by her “bestie”, Sharon, her many friends, and fellow campers.
Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Bernice Gray, an infant son, Scott, brother, Michael “Mike”, sister, Geraldine “Jerry” Osborne, step-son, Everett Horton, niece, Kim, nephew, Matthew, and sister-in-law, Kelli.
A celebration of Grannie’s life will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 2pm from the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Marjorie to the IWK, or a charity that would benefit a child. The O’Sullivan and Gray families would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the staff, doctors and nurses of 7A Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII, for all the kindness and compassion given to Marjorie while in your care.
