McQuinn, Ramona Valla (Fisher, nee Maskell):  95, Halifax.  Ramona peacefully passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Parkstone Enhanced Care, Halifax.  Born in West Jeddore, she was the only daughter of John and Nita (Baker) Maskell.  A graduate of Horton Academy and Halifax Commercial Academy, she was employed for several decades as a secretary at the law firm of Daley, Black & Moreira.  She had been an active member of Hillside United Church and an associate member of Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron.  She was predeceased by husband, Alan McQuinn, and former husband, Richard Fisher, father of her sons Peter Fisher and Stephen Fisher.  Ramona epitomized the caring optimist... she was contributor to others and well loved by a wide circle of friends. She lived happily at her home until she was 94, then moved to Parkstone Extended Care, where she enjoyed her 95th birthday celebration.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial Service and Reception will be held at Hillside United Church (formerly Rockingham United Church), 12 Flamingo Drive, near Lacewood Drive, Clayton Park, Halifax, NS on Friday, June 19, 2026, beginning at 11 am, followed by a visit to her graveside at St. John’s Cemetery.  All are welcome to attend.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice.
