Obituary of Thelma Ilene Clark

83, Lunenburg, formerly of Aspotogan, NS.  Our dear mom passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg, NS.  Born in Halifax, Thelma was the eldest child of the late Ford and Marjorie Boutilier.

Throughout her life, Thelma was an administrative assistant, having worked in Halifax and Lakeside for various businesses.  She was happiest when she retired, moving back to Aspotogan where she enjoyed walking in the woods, taking pictures, gardening, playing cards, and going for long drives where she often would take scenic photos.  Thelma was the pillar of her family, all whom she loved dearly.  She loved planning and celebrating all the holidays.  Family meant everything to her, and she enjoyed spending time with them and spoiling them whenever she could.  Thelma was known for her hard work as a volunteer with many organizations within her community, including rock-a-thons, church suppers, fund raising, and canvassing for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  Thelma was a dedicated parishioner to All Saints Anglican Church in Bayswater.

Thelma is survived by daughters, Karen (Jim) and Wendy (Hughie), granddaughter, Yvonne (Shaun), two great-granddaughters, Alexa and Rylie, a sister, Evelyn (Lorraine), and brother, Malcolm.  Thelma was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, John, and a grandson, Mark.

Thelma’s family wishes to extend deep gratitude for the support and care given by the staff at Harbour View Haven, with a special thanks to the staff of palliative care.

Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to All Saints Cemetery, Bayswater, NS.  www.walkerfh.com
