Obituary of Florence Genevieve Harrison

In Loving Memory of

FLORENCE GENEVIEVE HARRISON

1935 – 2025

HARRISON, Florence (Flo) Genevieve (Jollimore) – 90, of Terence Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 4, 2025, in the QEII Health Sciences Center. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Everette and Myrtle (Smith) Jollimore. She was the last surviving member of her family. She was a dedicated lifelong member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, serving on many boards and committees. She was also a licensed Lay Reader in the Church.

In her spare time, she liked to travel, do Word Search puzzles, scratch tickets, and talk on the phone. Flo was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children Dale (John) Sotirakos, Brookside; Dawn (Ken) Hubley, Porters Lake; Darren (Charlotte), Melfort, Saskatchewan; Daughter-in-law Gail Harrison, Calgary, Alberta; Sister-in-law Linda (Ted) Stevens, Halifax; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, George; her son Bradford (Bo); brother William (Willie); sisters Jessie Umlah, Bernice Gray, and Myrna Hudder.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses and staff of the QEII 8.4 for their compassionate care and support. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477-5601).

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 8th at 1:00pm in St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Sandy Cove Road, Terence Bay, with Rev. Cate Ratcliffe and guest Rev. Glenn Eason officiating. A reception will follow in the Terence Bay Community Center (Fire Hall). Family flowers only. Donations in Florence’s memory may be made to the St. Paul’s Church Building Fund.
