Jeff was already well established as a professional camera operator by the time I arrived at ATV in the late ‘80’s. As a new kid just starting out in television operations (with very little experience), Jeff taught me valuable techniques in becoming a successful studio camera operator and floor director. As a technical producer, I remember Jeff getting the cameras, lights, and other equipment ready well before air-time…he was a valued member of our News Team and I’m very grateful for the assistance, support, and encouragement he provided to me and other colleagues throughout his career.
My condolences to the entire Oakley family during this difficult time…may the special moments and memories you’ve shared with Jeff bring you peace and comfort in the days ahead.
