August 22, 1948 – October 20, 2025

Spryfield, Nova Scotia

It is with great sadness that the family of Jeffrey Oakley announces his passing on October 20, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Spryfield, Jeff was the son of the late Frank and Mildred (Watts) Oakley. He was a longtime member of the Armdale Yacht Club, and sailed in the Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Race on numerous occasions. Jeff enjoyed spending time at his camp on College Lake with friends and family.  He also had a long and dedicated career as a television camera operator with ATV / CTV, where he especially enjoyed participating in the Christmas Daddies Telethons every year. 

He is survived by his brother Leonard (Marlene) Oakley; nephew Patrick (Miranda) Oakley; niece Jill (Christina) Oakley; great-nephew Jacob Oakley; and great-nieces Hailey and Lauren Oakley, all of Spryfield.

Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax.  In keeping with Jeff’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.  We invite you to privately celebrate Jeff’s memory in your own ways.
