In Loving Memory of Marilyn Catherine MacDonald 

1941- 2025

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Marilyn MacDonald. Born March 24, 1941, she passed peacefully into God’s arms on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Moody Hall.

Marilyn was predeceased by her brother, Johnny White, and her sister, Audrey (Bob) Bates. She is survived by her sister, Mary White (Wade Tupper), and her brother, Kenneth (Donna) White. She leaves behind her four children: Laura Brown, Heather MacDonald (Sharon Bezanson), Robert MacDonald, and Rosanne MacDonald (Glen Cameron).

Marilyn was a loving “Nanny” to her grandchildren: Samantha MacDonald (Erin Powers), Joshua Brown, Alexander MacDonald (Christina), Christian Cameron, Jordan Elliot (Zach), and Baillie Holmes. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Kevin, Kadence, August, and Oscar.

Family was at the centre of Marilyn’s life. Throughout her later years, she lived with her children at different times, creating cherished memories and deepening the family bonds she held so close to her heart. Marilyn treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and welcomed each visit from her great-grandchildren. She loved hearing the day-to-day stories of their lives and was always slipping “a little something” to them when their parents weren’t looking. No matter how her day was going, she listened to their stories with patience, warmth, and love, always ending with an “I love you” and a kiss.

Marilyn will be greatly missed and eternally loved. No funeral service will take place at this time.
