Obituary of Ronald James Snelgrove
Ronald James Snelgrove II (AKA: R.J.)
February 17, 1996 - January 7, 2026
It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Ronald James (R.J.) Snelgrove II, on January 8, 2026. R.J. was fiercely protective of his family and friends and there was no difference in who he loved or blood, but his daughter, Bella, was who had the most of his heart, he loved and adored her dearly. His heart was tremendously huge for anyone that he considered his inner circle. R.J. lived life to the fullest and loved adrenaline and next the calm of a waterfall. He was extremely funny, spontaneous and the life of the party. R.J. maintained the same core group of friends who have laughed, helped and listened and we are forever grateful for Shannon, Todd, Stevie, Santana and Jasmine. R.J. was cherished by his parents and family, who loved him no matter what. He will be remembered by his mom for always saying “Hey Beautiful” to her. All of his family and friends were very important to him.
R.J. is survived by his beautiful daughter, Isabella “Bella” and her mother, Angelica, his mother, Sheila Hiles, his father, Ronald James Snelgrove (Michelle), brothers, Colten Snelgrove, Carlos Hiles (Liz), Donald Verge (Felicia), and Darrell Knowles, and his sisters, Taneille Lawrence (Norman) and Melissa Melvin. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Natasha “Tasha” Cooper, his paternal grandmother, Margie Stone (Allan), maternal grandmother, Sylvia Livley, his aunts, Sarah Snelgrove, Anna Bottomley, and Joann Gilfillan and his uncle, Gordie Livley.
R.J. was predeceased by his brother, Gregory Hiles, his sister, Jessica Hiles, his paternal grandfather, Ronald Snelgrove, his maternal grandmother, Hilda Duffy, maternal grandfather, Edward Duffy, and his special friends, Brandon Hatcher and Taylor Sampson
R.J’s time on earth was short but he left a lifetime of memories and laughs.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 1-2:30pm at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in the chapel beginning between 2:30 and 3pm.
