I first met Brian at Boy Scouts in 1960 having both obtained our Queen Scouts award. I used to see Brian at Queensland Beach throwing a frisbee back and forth with his friends. He was quite a frisbee player. Since then I have seen Brian many times in the Hubbards area when my wife and I would walk Conrads Road or at at the Hubbards waterfront. Please accept our sincere condolences.

It was privileged to be associated with Brian during his professional years as a Probation Officer at Dartmouth -- especially when he took Dave White under his wing - Dave was captain of the 1973 Saint Mary's Huskies Football Team that won the Canadian Football Championship in 1973 -- Brian and Dave were a fun and great team under Brian's leadership.
Brian combined good humour with professional dignity in a rare way -- he was much loved by his peers and senior management -- and respected by Judge Martin Haley , the most unpredictable Judge in Nova Scotia in the early years. Brian's photo is with the team of 15 in 1970-- the core probation officer group that set the tone for the professionalism that exists today .
Brian's family has much to be proud of, given Brian's professional career and contribution to the Department of Justice in Nova Scotia .

Olette and family; we are so saddened to hear of Brian’s passing. We have known Brian for 50+ years and he never changed throughout that time. He was always a funloving character and a kind man who was rarely seen without a smile; he would never pass by without saying hello and flashing a big grin. He will surely be missed by all who loved and knew him. Our sincere condolences to all of Brian’s family and friends.

To Brian’s family
I knew Brian very well while in high school..now many years ago. I made visits to his parents home, and many visits to his father’s camera store. His sister’s husband, Paul Cummings officiated at my husband and my wedding. I rather forget a few details now but one thing I certainly remember was Brian was so just so nice and a great smile. I am glad he had such a wonderful life and so loved. Thinking of all of you at this time
