Obituary of Winnifred Irene Prime
Winnifred Irene Prime (Parker), born December 9, 1935, passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Winnifred is survived by her loving husband, Delbert Prime; her children, Cyril (Teresa), Cheryl (Donald DeYoung), Shawn (Melissa), and Kevin (Jai); as well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who will lovingly remember her.
For most of her life, Winnifred was a devoted homemaker, although she also worked at Zellers, served as a hockey coach, and volunteered with the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

She cared for small children while her own were in school and faithfully looked after the lot rentals at the Spryfield Trailer Court for over 20 years. She also had a gift in the kitchen and was lovingly remembered for her homemade sweets—cakes, cookies, and pies—as well as her homemade white and brown bread and rolls, which brought comfort and joy to many.
Winnifred will be sadly missed and forever loved by her family.
Visitation for Winnifred will be held on February 16, 2026 at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held beginning at 4:00 PM at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home.
