Obituary of Christine Clara McInnis

MCINNIS (SNAIR), Christine Clara- Age 86 of Mill Cove, it is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to our mother, Christine McInnis (Snair) who passed away peacefully on March 6th, 2026.   Born in Queensland, she was the late daughter of Blenus and Margaret (Harnish) Snair.

Christine is survived by her children; Randy McInnis, Wendy Jollimore, Kevin (Stephanie) McInnis and Kim Laws; grandchildren, Abigail, Maggie, Tyler, Lucy, Chanse, and Jack; siblings, Patricia Gray and Gary (Nancy Snair).  Christine was predeceased by her loving husband Ronnie; brother, Mervyn.

Christine had four children but was a mother to so many more.  A local babysitter in her community, her young charges grew up to love her like a second mom.  Her many nephews and nieces were extremely fond of her as were the many friends of her children.   Christine had a love for baking, and the aroma of fresh bread and cookies would fill her house. She was known for her famous sweet rolls.   She enjoyed gardening and in later years tapping her foot to country tunes.   We all enjoyed watching the colorful birds at the feeder on her window.

Christine was greatly loved by so many and will be missed by all.

Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax.  In keeping with Christine’s wishes there will be a visitation from 6-8 on Thursday March 12, 2026.  A Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday March 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. followed by a reception. The family would preferer family flowers only.  In memory of Christine, donations can be made out to the Recreation Department at Shoreham Village in Chester, Nova Scotia.
