Obituary of Carol Ann Rose Walsh
WALSH, Carol Ann Rose (White)
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of the beloved Carol Ann Rose (White) Walsh at the young age of 86 on March 17th, 2026.
Born on December 22nd, 1939, Carol was the first born daughter of the late Doris and Clarence White. From a young age Carol had the ability to make everyone around her feel loved and cared for. Her gentle soul, kind eyes and gracious demeanor led her to working at Park Haven nursing home, a position she held close to her heart. Caring for others always came naturally to her, it was just who she was. She had the biggest heart.
In 1958 Carol married the love of her life William ‘Billy’ Walsh and together they started their family on Mayor Avenue, Spryfield. Building a homestead that is still to this day filled with family and love. Carol's greatest pride in life were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, her babies meant the world to her, filling not only her heart but the walls of her home with their photos.
Carol was a devoted member of the Spryfield Legion alongside her family. She could often be found enjoying a roll on the machines or a celebration with good friends but most often she could be found enjoying the dance floor. Carol loved to dance and was well known for keeping up with the best of them, especially if an Elvis Presley song came on, another great love of hers.
Carol will be forever remembered by her adoring children the - late Johnny (Debbie) Walsh, Janet (Richard) Blackburn, Cheryl (Paul) Walsh and Robbie (Wendy) Walsh. For them she gave a life filled with patience, kindness and love.
She was a treasured grandmother to Lee Walsh, Shawn (Laura) Walsh, Jeff Young, Brittany (Shane) Young, Chad (Samantha) Blackburn, Justin (Rachel) Blackburn, Cara (Matt) Walsh and Crystal (Sam) Walsh. Her love for her grandchildren left a legacy of love behind.
Becoming a grandmother was her greatest joy in life until she became a great grandmother. Nanny Carol loved all her babies and will forever be cherished by Colby, Braedon, Owen, Logan, Cohen, Blake,Jayden, Reese, Lily, Hunter, Emmy and Wally.
Holding a special place in her heart was her first born great grandchild the late Skyler William.
Carol will be remembered for having a loving childhood with her siblings, the late Tom White and Clarence White, alongside Donna (Ronnie) Jennings, Bobby White, Pat (Isabelle) White and Linda (Al) Brewer. Carol often spoke about what a beautiful friendship she shared with her siblings especially Donna and Ronnie.
She will be remembered fondly by all of her adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and honorary grand-children.
Carol held a special place in her heart for the McCarthy and Finanders family, a heart like hers never really leaves us.
A heartfelt thank you to our dear family friend, Amy Lewis. Through the heartbreak of three losses in less than a year, you stood by the Walsh family with unwavering strength and compassion. We truly could not have navigated this without you. Nanny Carol loved you dearly, and we are forever grateful.
Carol believed in celebrating all of life's moments, big or small, she brought people together. She was well known for her holiday parties; from Easter egg hunts, to Christmas cookie parties, to St. Patrick’s Day, Carol celebrated every moment with the ones she loved. She was the community of Spryfield’s Nanny Carol, loved and cherished by all who knew her.
