Obituary of Deborah Joyce Irvine
In Loving Memory of Deborah “Debbie” Irvine February 24th, 1954 - March 27th, 2026
Born in Prince Edward Island in 1954, Debbie brought her feisty spirit and honest heart wherever she went. She moved to Ottawa, where she met the love of her life, Robert, her husband of 50 wonderful years and had two lovely Children: Shannon and Michael.
She cherished her summers at the family cottage in PEI, in the warmth and familiarity of home. You could find her sat watching Holmes on Homes (she loved Mike Holmes) or floating in the ocean at West Point Beach. A talented tole painter and avid reader, her creativity and joy brightened the lives around her.
Bold, spirited, and unforgettable, Debbie lived life on her own terms and left a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Irvine; her daughter, Shannon Irvine; her son, Michael Irvine; her siblings, Cheryl, Walter, and Doug; and her special niece, Jackie. She also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren, “her babies” — Emily, Savannah, Alexis, Shannen, Bella, Charlotte, and Donté; and four beloved great-grandchildren.
As well as Craig, Landyn, and Jayde, whom she joyfully welcomed into her heart as her own grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her mother, Doris Bell; her siblings, Leah McDougall and Gary Crozier; her uncle, Phil Crozier; and her grandmother, Emily Crozier.
There will be no public service as per her wishes.
