Obituary of Judith Irene White-Bowers
Judith Irene White-Bowers, age 82, of Portuguese Cove, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of love, joy, and cherished memories.
Judith was a graduate of NSCC and worked for many years as a dedicated bookkeeper with Canadian Tire, Dominion, IGA, and Bolands Cash and Carry. She was a valued member of the Royal Canadian Legion and found great joy in simple pleasures—especially bowling, playing darts, and spending time with a good book.
Above all, Judith loved people. She was known for her happy, joyful spirit and her truly beautiful and loving soul. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
Judith was predeceased by her first husband, Henry William White, and her second husband, Wayne Barry Bowers. She was also predeceased by her parents, Ross Vincent Purcell and Hilda Agnes Purcell, as well as her sister, Patricia Catherine Lake.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Russell White (Donna), Katherine White (Ivano), and Sandra White. She was a proud grandmother to Travis Horne, Nicholas White, and Jacob White. Judith is also survived by her step-sons, Stephen Bowers and Paul Bowers, and her brothers, William Purcell (Bev), Edward Purcell (Barb), and Daniel Purcell (Judy).
In keeping with Judith’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. She will be laid to rest at St. David’s Cemetery in Portuguese Cove at a later date.
