Obituary of Vincent John Murphy
MURPHY, VINCENT JOHN — Age 71 of Halifax. It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Vincent Murphy, on April 4, 2026, at Melville Lodge. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Vincent and Josephine (Peach) Murphy.
Vincent loved cats, watching movies, playing cards, and rock music, especially Led Zeppelin.
Vincent is survived by his brothers, James (Yvonne) Murphy of Edmonton, and Joseph, Robert, William, and Ralph Murphy, all of Halifax; sisters, Cathy (Jim) Martin of Ketch Harbour, JoAnne Murphy of Ottawa, and Elizabeth Murphy of Halifax; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Martin Murphy; nephew, Corey Murphy; niece, Natasha Murphy; and sister-in-law, Pam Murphy.
Vincent is now at peace and has been called home to be with his loving mother.
Vincent's family wishes to express a special thanks to everyone at Melville for taking care of Vincent for the last 15 years.
In keeping with Vincent’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will take place at Mount Olivet May 26, 2026 at 11 a.m.
