Obituary of Linda Dorothy MacLean

Linda Dorothy MacLean passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, just two days shy of her 75th birthday, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and treasured memories. Born in Monton, New Brunswick, Linda was the daughter of the late Robert and Isabel (Cole) Masters. Linda was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 25 years and, alongside her husband Mike, was also a member of Nova Scotia Guides for 25 years.

Linda had a deep love for children, and being around them brought her tremendous joy. She had a natural warmth and playful spirit that drew children to her. Family was at the centre of her life, and few things made her happier than spending time with the younger generations.

Linda also loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping and fishing in her younger years. No one had to worry about cleaning a fish if Linda was around. She had a special love for animals, particularly her dog, China, and her cat, Stubby, who brought her much companionship and joy.

An avid traveller, Linda explored much of Canada and the United States, creating many wonderful memories along the way. Of all the places she visited, Drumheller, Alberta, held a special place in her heart.

Linda is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Mike MacLean; her children, Mike MacLean (Nadine Boucher) and Melodie MacLean (Victor Roberts); her cherished grandchildren Joseph MacLean, Stephen MacLean, Rhea MacLean, Marisa MacLean, Amanda Boucher, and Joy Grasley; and her beloved great-grandchildren Ivy, Zach, Zoey, Isaiah, and Hazel.

She is also survived by her sisters Crystal and Debbie, and brothers Greg, Nick, David, Chris, and Mike, along with many extended family members and friends. Linda was predeceased by her sons, Leonard MacLean and Daniel MacLean.

Linda will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her love of family, and the warmth she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Spryfield Legion on Tuesday April 28, 2026 from 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM
