Obituary of Christopher Harold McNamara
MCNAMARA, Christopher "Chris" Harold - With very heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Chris McNamara.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on June 5, 1968, he was the beloved son of the late Carl and Diane McNamara. He leaves behind his sister Shelley McNamara (Blister) and his niece Madison Irvine (Crazy Kid); life long friends, Darren and Eddie will be missing him as well.
To say Chris was an avid Rock ‘n Roll fan would be an understatement, as he truly lived and breathed music. Whether it was attending countless concerts, going on rock cruises, or passionately debating bands and albums, his enthusiasm and knowledge were unmatched. Music wasn’t just a hobby; it was a defining part of who he was.
Chris dedicated nearly 32 years of his career as an Event Technician Supervisor at the Scotiabank Centre, where he took immense pride in his work. He was a familiar face to many and it seemed everyone knew Chris. His presence, passion, and personality left a lasting impression on his colleagues, and I know the crew will miss him very much.
He will be deeply missed by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends, and his sweet little dog, Lola.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 31st, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Midtown/Boomers Tavern, 1744 Grafton Street, Halifax, NS.
