Obituary of Shaun Christopher Coffey

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we, Shaun's family, announce his passing on May 12,2026 , surrounded by those who loved him at home.

Shaun had a wonderful sense of humor, he was kind, pleasant and extremely smart.  Shaun fought AML for a year with everything he had.  Shaun loved his family and he told us everyday.  He will be forever missed by everyone whose lives he touched, especially Carol, who looked after him with great compassion and care right up to the very end.

He is survived by his parents, Darryl and Florence Coffey, the love of his life, Carol Walker, his children, Liam, Abby, Matt and Lucas, who he loved dearly, his Uncle Tony (Tausha), his Aunt Phyllis (Tony), and  his Uncle Dennis (Nicole).

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Connie Boyce, and his paternal grandparents, James and Elizabeth Coffey, as well as his Uncle Jimmy and his Uncle Brian.

A special thank you to the VON (Yarmouth ) and Continuing Care (Yarmouth).  Special thanks also to Dr Cooper and his palliative care team, they were all amazing to Shaun and family.  Thankyou as well to the oncology team lead by Dr. Elsaway on 8th floor V.G. Hospital, QEII

Shaun has requested to be cremated , there is no service at his request.  In his memory, please take a moment to think of Shaun.
