Obituary of Bill Sellars

SELLARS, William "Bill" Calvin- Age 68 of Halifax,  Bill, affectionately known as William Calvin Sellars, peacefully passed away on June 1, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on May 2, 1958, in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Bill was a kind-hearted man who had a profound impact on everyone he met. His wisdom and guidance were sought after by many who knew him.

Bill, a proud veteran, served his country in the Royal Canadian Navy as a military police officer and weapon specialist.

Bill worked with Halifax Metro Transport (HRM) for 25 years as a Special Constable Inspector/Road Supervisor. Then, he joined STC in September 2021 as a school bus driver (1016).

He enjoyed camping. It was his home away from home during the summer months. He loved watching YouTube and being a chef on Saturday nights for many family dinners. 

  Bill is survived by his loving wife Zena; daughters, Dawn, Felicia, Kayla; son, Dylan; grandchildren, Zachary, Candice, Kassondra, Josh, Tyler, Destiny Madison, Keeghan, Samir, Zain, and Kalley; great-grandchildren, Alayah, Calvin, Airyona, Asher, Athena, Amaire. Ka’miyah, Enzo, and another one on the way. Bill was predeceased by his daughter, Shana, and his great-grandson, August.

To respect Bill's wishes, there will be no visitation or  funeral service at this time.
