Obituary of Philip John Snook

It is with great sadness that the family of Philip John Snook, 62, announces his sudden passing on June 25, 2026.

Born June 5, 1964, in Harbour Breton, Newfoundland, John loved travelling, grilling, and watching all sports. He was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage hanging out, relaxing by the fire, and spending time with his best friend Lionel Lewis (Lisa), who was a brother from another mother, as he liked to call him. John was a dedicated and hardworking employee of Hampidjan Canada, Dartmouth Division for many years.

John is survived by his loving wife of thirty-one years, Martine; brothers, Morgan (Paula), Scott (Heather), and Wayne (Betty); sisters, Anne (Joe), Georgina, and Lindsey (George); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Hazel (Fudge); father, George Snook; stepfather, Roland Fudge; and sisters, Mary Jane and Marina.

Arrangements have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. In keeping with John’s wishes, a service and burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
