Obituary of Brian Allan Lee-Deer
LEE-DEER, Brian Allan- It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Allan Lee-Deer, born in Montreal on March 3, 1971, announces his passing on July 2, 2026, in Halifax at the QEII, surrounded by his family and Friends.
Brian was a force of nature from day one. He lived life with the volume turned all the way up. To say Brian was impulsive would be an understatement. He was a man of action who didn't waste time overthinking. If a wild idea popped into his head, he ran with it, usually leaving everyone around him laughing hysterically in his wake. He was hands-down the funniest person in the room, armed with a quick wit and a brilliant sense of humour that could brighten the darkest days.
He was full of adventure and did so much in all of his years, like being an avid hockey runt, working for the fair, being a fish inspector, a dad, a continuing care assistant, a volunteer firefighter, a letter carrier and a heavy union representative, holding many positions throughout the years.
In recent years, he really enjoyed travelling, camping and his crazy projects.
Brian is survived by his wife, Maina; sons, Bailey Lockman and Dyson; daughters, Katrice and Jada; brother, Dana Lee (Kelly); sisters, Roxanne and Charlene (Bob); as well as nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mom, Bessie Cooke; brothers, Pete and Lowell; and grandparents, Amelia Jane Lee and William Lee.
Arrangements have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS. In keeping with Brian's wishes there will be no funeral. A visitation will take place on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place on July 11th 2026, at 12:00 PM at Lorne Street Cemetery, 442 Lorne St, New Glasgow, NS B2H 4L3.
