Obituary of Cleveland A. Hopkins

The world lost a kind and gentle soul, and the biggest fan of the Boston Red Sox with the passing of Cleveland at Arborstone Nursing Home on Saturday, August 31, 2013. A native of Bear Point, N.S. he owned and operated a fish processing plant as a young man. In his later years he faithfully volunteered at the CampHill Veterans Memorial Building. He is survived by siblings, Burnley, Allen, Grace (Heighton) and Shirley (LeBlanc) as well as 18 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Mossie (Gardiner) and Sheldon Hopkins, and his sister, Marjorie Doane. Arrangements are under the care of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at 1 PM from the funeral home chapel. Donations in memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
