Obituary of Pearl Eileen Briand (Leslie)

Age 89, passed away peacefully in Dartmouth on February 26, 2014. Born on February 4, 1925 in Spry Bay, she was a daughter of the late William and Serena (Josey) Leslie. She was employed at Schwartz, Stadacona, Jubilee Boat Club and Sears. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed. She is survived by son, Harold, Dartmouth; daughter-in-law, Frances Briand, Fredericton, NB.; sister, Dorothy (Densmore) Josey, Dartmouth; grandchildren Tina Stockburger, Tara Schacher, Karla Bruhm, all of Calgary, Craig Briand and Shannon Briand Godin, Fredericton; twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by husband, Francis "Curly"; companion, Norman Carmichael; daughter, Sharon Bruhm; brother, Harold; sisters, Freda, Doris and Loretta. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601) 149 Herring Cove Rd., where a Service of Remembrance will be held Monday March 17, 11:00am, Father Duncan McMaster officiating. Reception to follow. Interment to take place in Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Donations in memory may be made the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Diabetes Association.
