Obituary of Harry Taylor

Passed away peacefully at the Adelaide Respite Care Home on July 23,2014, at the age of 96. An interesting, well-read, and entertaining man, Harry was born in London, England on February 20, 1918, and came to Canada with his parents as a young child. He went to sea at the age of 14, sailing to many foreign ports on freighters and oil tankers. From 1938 to his retirement in 1975, he was employed with the DND as an inspector of naval warships, underwater fittings. In his younger days, he participated in both amateur and professional wrestling. After retirement, Harry and his wife, Margaret enjoyed spending time in Florida and especially at his cottage which he called " my Walden". Harry was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Murchy), and sisters Doris and Brenda. He is survived by his sister Eunice Seger, St Thomas, ON, his niece Janice and nephew, Greg . Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601). Interment will take place at a later date in the family plot Camp Hill Cemetery.
